The Wolf Creek is a 34 acre placer mining claim situated on the Wolf Creek, a gold-producing river found just South of Greenville, California! Founded as a mining town in the 1860s, Greenville stood together with the now disappeared town of Round Valley as a testament to the area's rich history with gold placers that still continues today!
In 2021, the Dixie Fire burned nearly 1,000,000 acres land around the Wolf Creek - including Greenville. While Greenville has since rebuilt, the burn scar, along with legions of dead trees, stain the land. This unfortunate, crispy history doesn't necessarily mean bad things however - in fact, quite the opposite; With most of the large vegetation gone, loose rocks and gravels have had nearly four years to fall into the Creek, replenishing the river with new gold.
