Orange iron oxides are everywhere the black molybdenum and white tungsten is not, and additional hydrothermal scarring indicate the spot is the perfect hunting grounds for gold. Significant underground work is present behind the main portal with 1000s of feet in tunnels and adits. Hill trenching can be found scarring the earth around the claim site. Plenty of tailings piles nearby for grab samples. Evidence of a collapsed tunnel is found on the East end of the claim. Timbers remain inside the tunnels, with old ladders, clay tiling and the like. Plenty of old irons can be found for historic relic hunters. It's likely additional relics can be found on the unexplored, upper levels of the mine. A decent dirt road exiting the small service town of Nixon, just 30 minutes from Reno, will lead you straight to the claim. Four-wheel drive is recommended.
