The Vernon Snowstorm Mine was a 20-acre unpatented lode claim in Pershing County, Nevada. A historic mine with documented production, featuring accessible underground workings and gold-silver mineralization.

This 20 acre gold lode mining claim is just outside of Lovelock, NV - and includes a unique ore type that includes Gold, Silver, Tungsten AND Uranium-308. The occurrence of Uranium-308 is not considering dangerous, nor of an economically significant grade.  Some samples test in the counts-per-minute range of 300 -500 CPM which would bring novelty to some collectors.  Assays show 1-3% of Uranium in this mine, found primarily in scheelite.

However this mine is a historic past-producer of Gold and Silver along with values of Tungsten.  Last workings at the Vernon & Snowstorm mine were during 1984 where a small shipment of ore was sent to the local mill for its Tungsten and Gold values.

The claim contains multiple prospects pits, an adit and a decline with over 200 feet of underground workings.  Good shoring and good dirt roads lead you up directly to the portal, and ore reserves on the claim.
